The opening reception for the art exhibit “Abstraction in Action” is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in the Laura H. Miles Gallery at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts, 2240 North Shore Dr., Wayzata.
The abstract artwork in the exhibit is the resulting efforts of each artist trying to create a work without depending upon, or being explained by, a readily identifiable subject.
The juried exhibition features abstract artworks in a variety of media by regional artists. All exhibited artwork will be available for sale.
The exhibit, which opens, Thursday, April 16, is open to public at no cost and runs through Thursday, May 14.
