A kokedama, made using a Japanese technique in which the roots of a plant are wrapped with soil and moss and held in an oval form with string, by artist Kathleen Monson is among the pieces on display in the “Art of the Garden” exhibit at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts. The show features artwork inspired by or designed for use in the garden through a variety of approaches in painting, sculpture, ceramics and more by artists from throughout the five-state region. “Art of the Garden” is open through Aug. 8 in the center’s Laura H.
