With Halloween come and gone the holiday season is officially upon us. Fortunately there are lots of local holiday shopping opportunities to find that perfect gift. Here is a list of the local holiday shopping events that have been submitted to the Laker Pioneer’s community calendar:

NOV. 9-DEC.22

ARTS OF THE HOLIDAYS SHOW AND SALE-The Minnetonka Center for the Arts is hosting its holiday arts show and sale from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Saturday from Nov. 9-Dec. 22. This annual tradition brings new artists to discover and new collections of work by returning favorites. A gallery full of fine craft and art, selected for character and value, perfect for holiday giving. More than 100 local artists make this event a holiday shopping must. NOV. 10

CHRISTMAS & HOLIDAY BAZAAR- Saturday, Nov. 10th, 9 a.m. - noon, hosted by Women of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church 5218 Bartlett Blvd., Mound. Phone: 952-472-2756. Shop early to decorate your home or for Christmas gifts. Items for sale include spruce tip planters, handcrafted crafts, plants, quilts, gifts and more!!! Sale proceeds support Missions and Christian Women’s Fellowship. www.mountolivelcms.org

NOV. 10

HOLIDAY GIFT BAZAAR- Shop beautifully handmade crafts and food including jelly, lefse, breads and many unique items just in time for the holidays. The Bethel Holiday Bazaar will be held Saturday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church, 2116 Commerce Blvd., in Mound. Lunch served 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Proceeds support missions locally, nationally and globally. For more information, call 952-472-1522.

NOV. 10-11

SHOP WITH HEART- Come to Trinity Lutheran in Long Lake and Shop With Heart on Saturday, Nov. 10 (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) and Sunday, Nov. 11 (9:30 a.m. – noon). We will be selling Artisan hand-crafted items, a variety of local vendors, holiday outdoor decor, patio pots, wreaths, spirit gear, soup and dip mixes, Agape Bakery (holiday cookies, lefse, braided bread), raffle drawings, EAT-n-SHOP AGAPE Cafe, and more. Proceeds support three mission efforts disaster relief, local and global missions.

NOV. 16-17

CHRISTMAS BOUTIQUE- Lake Minnetonka Shores Christmas Boutique will be held Nov. 16-17 at 4515 Shoreline Drive, Spring Park, Minn. Flea market, bake sale, vendors and crafters. Friday hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

NOV. 17

6TH ANNUAL WESTONKA BANDS HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE FUNDRAISER- Saturday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Grandview Middle School. More than 40 vendors will be on hand offering a unique array of gifts for your holiday shopping. Holiday music will be provided by Westonka band students. Treats will be available and raffle prizes will be part of the fun. The boutique offers a fun-filled day of shopping and music. Proceeds benefit students in the fifth- through 12th-grade Westonka Band Program.

NOV. 17

ST. GEORGE CHURCH HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE- The Annual Holiday Boutique at St. George Church in Long Lake will be Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  There will be a fantastic assortment of craft vendors, lefse making, demonstration, homemade apple pies, both frozen and ready to eat, homemade pecan pies, snacks and lunch available, a variety of homemade jams and jellies, baked goods, a variety of Christmas cookies, raffle with many exciting prizes. Raffle drawing will be Sunday at 11 a.m. You need not be present to win. There will be a table for the children to Make and Take crafts.

NOV. 23-DEC. 2

GILLESPIE HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE- The Gillespie Holiday Boutique is scheduled for Nov. 23-Dec. 2. Over 80 vendors! This fundraiser for the Gillespie Center is free admission with food available and includes jewelry, household gifts, clothing, books, cards, hats, mittens, edible treats, and more! Boutique hours are Friday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 24 and Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 25 and Dec. 2 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and weekdays Nov. 23-30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

DEC. 1

COOKIE CUP HOLIDAY TREATS & SHOPPING- Cookie Cup Holiday Treats & Shopping is December 1 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Shop local gifts and try our featured holiday sweet and savory cups! Holiday gift packs available for pre-order! Featured Cookie Cup Flavors: Gingerbread, Buttery Shortbread, Dark Chocolate Raspberry.

DEC. 8

SANTA’S HIDDEN TREASURES EVENT- Saturday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Kids secretly shop for family and friends, kids’ activities, food, and lots of fun! Everyone is welcome! Mound Westonka High School students and Gillespie volunteers help the kids get all of their shopping done with a wide selection of gifts priced from 50 cents to $3. Photos with Santa, kids activities, and food will also be available.
