Ceramic Garden Pot
Instructor: Art Center Faculty
Skill Level: All

In this class students will make a handmade ceramic garden pot perfect for their spring flowers! Students will start by slumping a slab of clay over a structural form to get the basic shape. Then we will carve, stamp, and draw designs in the clay to create relief decoration on the sides of our garden pot. Lastly we will add decorative embellishments (like handles) and decorate the pot with colored slips. Because of the bisque and glaze firing process, some projects will need to be picked up 2-3 weeks after the last class day. NOTE: Children must be accompanied by an adult. Enrollment limited to 16; ages 5 - adult
